"Self-care is how you take your power back"
“With every act of self-care your authentic self gets stronger, and the critical, fearful mind gets weaker. Every act of self-care is a powerful declaration: I am on my side, I am on my side, each day I am more and more on my own side.”
— Susan Weiss Berry
Well technically speaking, self-care is the process of establishing behaviors to ensure holistic well-being of oneself, to promote health, and actively manage illness when it occurs. Individuals engage in some form of self-care daily with food choices, exercise, sleep, reading and dental care. In reality, it is simply taking care of you and your needs. Whether it's taking a walk, reading a book, and/or sleeping in. All of those things are simple tasks that help ground you. We'll go over different things you can do for self-care.
